SELLERS AND BUYERS APPROACH TO 'THIS' MARKET
Sellers will need to be more realistic in their pricing and in their expectation of days on market. It will take longer to sell a property. The quality of the home will be more important. When clients are going through properties in today's market, the home that is maintenance free, kept in pristine condition and priced right will be what sells.
The market for 2009 will continue to favour buyers. Interest rates are still at record lows and dropping. This is an opportunity for them to jump into the market on their terms as opposed to the seller's terms. They now have the opportunity to jump into a more desirable home, lot and area that was certainly not attainable for most a year or two ago.
